Follet’s Sports Business Forum – This event is put on yearly by the Sports Administration program, which brings in speakers from different areas of sport. Our organization has had an increased roll as of late by being asked to get other undergraduate programs to come to the event. The day after the event, we also put on our own panel discussion with different speakers for the other undergraduate students that come.
Growl Golf Tournament- This golf tournament is an event put in place to raise money for women’s athletics at OU. In the past, it had been held in the spring.
Georgia Southern Sport Management Conference – This event was put on by Georgia Southern University and brought in many speakers and guests from around the sports industry as well as students from across the country. Unfortunately, 2010 was the last year it took place.
Trip to Charlotte Motor Speedway – In 2010 and 2011 a group of SBA members have gone to Charlotte Motor Speedway to work the Coca Cola 600 race weekend.
Run for a Reason – The Russell Athletic 5K Run for a Reason is a race set up by the Sports Administration program where individuals and groups run to raise money for a cause. In 2011, we choose to run for the Bradley Moorhead Scholarship.
RSVP to Pie an Enemy – As part of our fundraising for the Russell Athletic 5K Run for a Reason, SBA teamed up with RSVP, a party running for student senate, to raise more money. We had different members where athletic apparel of hated teams and players and allowed people to pie them for donations.
Bradley Allen Moorhead 3-on3 Basketball Tournament – This basketball tournament is help on a yearly basis to help raise money for the Bradley Moorhead Scholarship.
